Waterhole
We
specifically cater to families, both small and large, with
four large bedrooms, a full kitchen, two lounge areas and
a games room. We have safe facilities for bubs and toddlers
and also offer learn to swim lessons for kids while you’re
here. We have a lap pool and gym, as well as a coffee and
gift shop for the whole family to enjoy. We pride ourselves
on being well informed about local activites for families
in the area, including bush walks, bike riding, kayaking
and canoeing, local fishing knowledge and beach activities
for the whole family.

Child-friendly
We
are a very family-friendly destination and cater specifically
for family groups. We
have available on site, an
all terrain pram, a
portable pram, cots, high chairs, beach shade tents and
umbrellas, baby seats for the car and bike, safety gates
and children's utensils for meal time

offer a continental breakfast hamper in the accomodation.

Fun
We
have board games and boxes of
toys in the house. As well as kids
DVD’s, ball
games, pool toys, bikes
for the whole family, a sea kayak and a canoe, kids fishing
and crabbing equipment and bait nets. We have binoculars
for birdwatching in the bush and whale watching at the
beach. There
is a playground 0.5km away at the beach and a large grassy
area at the front and back of house and around the fenced
pool. Some
of the activities equipment require deposits and small
use fees, i.e. the bikes and kayak.

of all ages and abilities are welcome here and are included
in the room price.

Directions
Pelican
Waterhole is located 1.5 hours from Cairns and 2.5 hours
from Townsville in between Innisfail and Tully. Take the
Bruce Highway and turn off on Murdering Point Road at the
Kurrimine Beach/Silkwood intersection or follow the highway
signs to Murdering Point Winery. Pelican Waterhole is 8.5
kilometres from the highway, on the left, just before you
reach Kurrimine Beach.

Accommodation
Our
fully renovated Queenslander has four bedrooms with full
kitchen facilities. We have four large rooms, two with
Queen beds and two with double beds. Additional rollout
single beds and cots are available. We have one bathroom
upstairs with shower, and two more toilets downstairs as
well as an outdoor shower next to the pool. We have a fully
equipped kitchen and games room, as well as a TV/DVD lounge
and a reading lounge area. We have air-conditioners and
fans and are fully screened.

Pool
We
have a 25m 3 lane lap and recreational pool which is heated
with a solar blanket and useable year round. We offer learn
to swim lessons and water aerobics classes daily.

We
have a weekly rate of stay seven, get one night free and
also a 10% discount for mid-week nights and for pensioners

stayed at Pelican Waterhole for a long weekend with our
two children and another couple and their two kids. We
all had our own, very comfortable, rooms and the house
is fitted with child safety gates - so the young bubs
were very safe. The kitchen, lounge room, TV room and
games room were great, with lots of space and with simple
country style furnishings that both the parents and kids
could relax with. The toy boxes, and access to the swimming
pool kept the kids entertained and the gym was also a
bonus! We walked to the beach and cooked our meals and
